Reception admissions 2022
A little reminder to use the primary school virtual tours for local primary schools. You will need to apply for a school place for your child if they are born between 1 September 2017 and 31 August 2018 as they are due to start reception class at primary school in September 2022. The closing date for application is 15 January 2022. You can name up to 6 schools in your application. You need to apply online through the e-admission site – https://www.eadmissions.org.uk/eAdmissions/app
Uniforms and clothing
School uniform is not compulsory but we do stock both T shirts and sweat shirts which bear the school name and logo.
These have proved popular with parents as they are hard wearing and wash easily. Uniform is available to buy from the school office and the T shirts are priced at £5.00 and sweat shirts 10.00 should you wish to do so. In addition we recommend children wear waterproof all in one suits and wellington boots as we are outside for most of the session.

Severe Weather Conditions
In the event of severe weather conditions, we do make every effort to keep the school open. Obviously we must have enough staff to be able to operate safely and be confident that the site is safe for children, families and staff. We would usually take the decision to close the school in the event of severe weather by 7.00am, when we have been able to assess the situation.
In the unlikely event that it is necessary to close the school, information is provided in a number of ways, as soon as possible. We inform Radio Jackie and the Local Authority who display the information on their websites. If the school system is accessible, we will also use our text messaging service to contact you. The schools status will also be displayed online or be available via a phone message service using the LGfL Open Check system.
