Well it is that time of year where we have to say goodbye to most of our children and of course their families.
I cannot begin to tell you how difficult it is to say farewell as we have got to know each and everyone of the children so well and have built a bond with parents and carers.
The children have had a wonderful time in our school and have accessed many opportunities and experienced a wide range of activities. They particularly enjoyed the visit to Bocketts Farm and their behaviour was exemplary. As part of out Expressive Arts Week the children enjoyed participating in a drumming workshop with the amazing Earthsong. We have enjoyed celebrating the Queen’s special birthday and they all were coached by Alex as part of the Euro’s. I am hoping we will see some famous footballers in the future. Some children stayed and enjoyed our holiday playsceme and had great fun.
One of the highlights of last term was of course the visit by the Ofsted Inspector. To get our fourth Outstanding Ofsted is truly remarkable and I am so delighted for the school. The team work so hard in order to provide a stumulating, engaging and fun curriculum in which the children learn through play. I would personally like to congratulate all of our fantastic team here and of course the children without whom none of this would have been possible. The report was brilliant and we have had a photographer and film team visit post the Ofsted visit to celebrate our success and the film will be used for Ofsted training in the future. I was invited to an Ofsted launch of a document and was greeted by the Ofsted Inspector as a colleague. I found out that she was the most experienced Early Years Inspector in the Ofsted team and so I feel that as we were inspected by the best our report is even more special. I am hoping that in the Autumn Term I can persuade the local newspaper to visit to enable us to get more publicity.
I would like to thank you all for your support this year and wish you all a wonderful summer vacation.
Good luck to all the children as they begin their next step in education. Please send us a photo of the children in their new school uniforms or if you are close by do pop in.
